Character design for food & drink brands

Good food.
Great character.

We turn the food people love into characters they can get to know.

From personality and storytelling to packaging, storefronts and moving images, we give your signature flavour a life of its own.

A little personality goes a long way

Give people more
to fall in love with.

A flaky pastry. A favourite bowl of noodles. A meal that brings everyone together. The beginnings of a character are often already there.

We look for what makes your food yours, then shape it into a recognisable personality: how it looks, how it moves and what it has to say. Something you can build stories, products and campaigns around.

Selected work

Two flavours.
A world of possibilities.

Two self-initiated concept projects, developed across character, packaging, space and motion. These are creative explorations, not commissioned client work.

The Golden
Croissant Dragon

Original character / Concept project

A little golden luck.
Fresh from the oven.

Flaky layers become scales. A warm, golden crust becomes a little dragon with a generous heart. Whenever good fortune comes its way, it shares a little with the next person in line.

That spirit carries through the collection: welcoming at the bakery door, tucked into a takeaway bag, or given as a gift. One character, with a story that travels.

Little moments of warmth, created for the places a brand comes to life on screen.

The Hot Pot Duo

Original characters / Concept project

Different tastes.
One happy table.

One bold and fiery. One mellow and comforting. Inspired by a hot pot with two broths, these two spirits bring different personalities to the same table.

The idea is simple: you don’t have to love the same flavour to love sharing a meal. Their relationship shapes the whole concept, from a two-sided menu to paired gifts and a storefront that welcomes both tastes.

A restaurant concept with red and ivory entrances, each featuring one of the Hot Pot Duo.
Two personalities. One unmistakable entrance. The character relationship becomes the architecture of the welcome.
The characters in motionA little heat. A little harmony.
Two distinct characters, brought together in an animated expression of shared flavour.

Our approach

Rooted in flavour.
Built around a brief.

The best starting point is something specific: a product people choose you for, a story only you can tell, or a moment you want to make your own.

  1. Find the personality.

We begin with your food, audience and intended use. What should the character make people feel? Where will they meet it?

  2. Give it a recognisable form.

We explore the character’s shape, expression, story and behaviour, then refine the chosen direction with you.

  3. Put it into your world.

We develop the agreed applications and define the deliverables, usage rights and any further production work the project needs.

A few useful details

Before we begin.

Are these projects for real clients?

The two projects shown here are self-initiated explorations of our original characters. The packaging, storefronts, merchandise and films show possible brand applications. They do not represent commissioned work, existing brand partnerships or products currently on sale.

Can you create something beyond the characters shown?

Yes. These projects show two creative directions, not the limits of the work. A new brief can start with a completely different food, drink, personality or visual style.

How do you use AI in the creative process?

AI tools support visual exploration and image and motion development. The creative process includes human-led direction, prompts, selection and refinement. We’ll discuss the process and the files needed for your project before agreeing the scope.

What will we receive, and how can we use it?

Deliverables and usage rights are agreed for each project. We’ll specify the applications, file formats, revision rounds and schedule, along with any licence term or exclusivity. Layered files, vector artwork, print-ready production files and animation source files are included only where explicitly agreed.

What does a project cost?

It depends on the character development, applications and usage you need. Send a short brief with your launch date and an indicative budget. We’ll discuss a suitable scope and quote before work begins.
